In 2010, Samantha “Sam” Moreno was crowned Ms. Wheelchair Oklahoma and was honored to represent her State at the national pageant in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She relocated in 2011 to Knoxville, Tennessee and was thrilled to have been asked to revive the Ms. Wheelchair program in Tennessee. Sam has received her Masters of Rehabilitation Counseling from the University of Tennessee in Knoxville. She works as the Director of Volunteer and Employment Services for McGrath Solutions, Inc. as well as provides contract work for the disAbility Resource Center and the Memphis Center for Independent Living.

As State Coordinator, you must:
o Recruit Quality Competitors for Ms., Junior Miss, and Little Miss Wheelchair representatives
o Coordinate the Annual Ms. Wheelchair Tennessee Crowning Ceremony
o Coordinate and Assist the current titleholder with other events throughout the year
o Maintain Contact and Assist the current titleholders
o Obtain and Maintain Sponsors
o Maintain Contact with Past Titleholders
o Facilitate Board Meetings
o Assist Other Board Members
o Maintain Contact with the Ms. Wheelchair America Board of Directors
o Maintain Operation According to Ms. Wheelchair America Policy & Procedure
